Medal of Honor Recipient to Receive Exhibit at Indiana War Memorial

27.05.2013

The Indiana War Memorial will have a dedication ceremony for their Military Museum’s Exhibit Honoring Medal of Honor Recipient Sammy Davis Tuesday - May 28, 2013 at 3:00PM. SFC Sammy Davis, the only living Congressional Medal of Honor recipient from Indiana, received the medal in 1967. This will be the largest exhibit in the museum, and Brigadier General Stewart Goodwin says this will be a great way to say thank you to an American hero.

Goodwin says this will be the largest exhibit in the museum.  He says the dedication ceremony next month will be a great way to say thank you to an American hero. Pfc. Sammy Davis is an avid harmonica player and we would not be surprised if he plays a song during the ceremony on his trusty Hohner.

"The Sammy Davis exhibit was completely designed and constructed by the staff of the Indiana War Memorial. This exhibit will provide future visitors the opportunity to know SFC Davis as we have."
