HOHNER Conservatory very successful at the 64th ‘Coupe Mondiale’


From 1st - 6th of October the elite of the accordion world met in Shanghai to compete in several different categories at the 64th Competition of the Coupe Mondiale. Among the many participants were 8 competitors from the HOHNER conservatory.

Matthias Matzke won the 1. Place out of 26 international participants in the category ‚Junior Virtuoso Entertainemant Competition‘. He also placed 8th in ‚Junior Coupe Mondiale‘. In this category Melanie Schittenhelm placed 14th. In the category ‚Senior Virtuoso Entertainement Competition‘ Dorin Grama was 4th Place and Radu Laxgang placed 5th.

Alexander Cargnelli placed 24th in the category ‚Senior Coupe Mondiale‘. The Young Art Quartett with Philipp Haag, Radu Laxgang, Daniel Franz and Eric Dann were 9th Place out of 23 Ensembles.

Congratulations and thanks also go to lecturer Hans-Günther Kölz and Andreas Nebl, as well as accordion teacher Frederic Deschamps, who trained the participants in different workshop.

Also successful was Pietro Adragna from the international HOHNER Team. He placed 1st in the category 'Virtuoso'.
