Deeply rooted in the music of 20’s & 30’s blues pioneers Eric Noden’s percussive guitar work, timeless songwriting and well-traveled blues vocals have earned the respect of audiences, critics, and musicians worldwide. Originating from Ohio, he moved to Chicago in 1994 where he has quickly made a name of himself as a thrilling solo artist and released several albums under his own name. Further releases together with the harmonica legend Joe Filisko followed. Since 2010 Eric Noden teaches guitar at the Harmonica Masters Workshops which is one of Europeans leading learning event for blues harmonica led by Steve Baker and attracts many players from all over Europe, North and South America as well as Australia to visit the small Swabian city Trossingen.

This workshop will focus on the finger picking guitar techniques that were used by Mississippi John Hurt, Reverend Gary Davis and Robert Johnson. Traditional American blues styles including Piedmont and Delta blues will be explored in depth. For  the 2015 workshop Eric will present all new material covering East Coast Blues, Open Tuning/Slide guitar and 12 Bar Blues Patterns.
