GLEN ALLEN, VA
Hohner  announced the introduction of the Hohner Affiliated Customizer Program at the 49th annual SPAH (Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica) convention held in Irving, TX.
US- harmonica product manager Ryan Wear awarded Joe Spiers formal certification, making him the first affiliated customizer after Joe Filisko in the United States. “Joe Spiers is a fine craftsman whose work will always make Hohner proud,” commented Joe Filisko, 2001 harmonica player of the year and leader of  the HAC certification process. The announcement was made Saturday night during the banquet/awards dinner at the Westin DFW.

Affiliate customizer certification is awarded to the best Hohner harmonica customizers in the world. To be considered for this elite certification, a customizer has their products independently examined by Joe Filisko.  “Joe’s involvement in this program provides customers with a guarantee of quality from an unimpeachable authority,” said Steve Baker, Hohner artist and advisor.

Hohner’s focus at the SPAH convention was on its world-class service technicians.
