In 1998, she went to the United States and performed with Billy Brunch, J.W. Williams, and Shunsuke Kikuchi at Buddy Guy's Legends, Kingstone Minds, and Artis Rounge in Chicago. Also, she had a chance to interact with Buddy Guy, Nellie 'Tiger' Travis, and Dave Myers, and was deeply impressed with them.

In 1999, she went to the States again, and after returning to Japan, she started attending the Martha Miyake's vocal school besides doing activities as a harp player. This made her vocal ability drastically improved.
