Kelvin Ng

"With a powerful yet musical harmonica style, Kelvin Ng is acknowledged by his peers as THE blues harmonica man in Singapore. Blessed with a strong and soulful voice, he is a major blues talent in Singapore and the region. While he understands the nuances of the blues deeply and is often steep in tradition, he is constantly exploring new rhythms and sonic textures to create fresh and original sounds.
Enthusiastic about performing live, he has opened for Robben Ford and shared the stage with various international blues and roots acts such as the Holmes Brothers (US), Harry Manx (Canada), Enrico Crivellaro (Italy) and Dom Turner (Australia). Additionally, he has performed with local music legends like Jeremy Monteiro, Rex Goh and Siva Choy. He also fronts The Blues Machine, houseband for the Crazy Elephant bar in Singapore very often.
Highly adaptable to other forms of music, Kelvin has recorded harmonica for Mandarin pop superstars such as Jacky Cheung, Stefanie Sun, Eric Moo and Na Ying.  He played on the theme song for local Chinese TV drama series “Toa Payoh”."

Hohner harps are the only ones that I use now. They just sound right to me, for that deep blues sound. And the current ones being made have great playability and consistency.
