Arinori Inagawa

Biography

Arinori Inagawa is one of the classical harmonica soloists of new generation. His classical repertoire ranges from Mozart to contemporary compositions written for harmonica.

He was born in Kanagawa / Japan. He took tremolo harmonica lessons with Hisayasu Nomura and Zen-ichi Ohba and also studied chromatic harmonica under Yasuo Watani.

Since 2000, he has won first prizes in both chromatic and tremolo categories at numerous national and international competitions, including three first prizes at World Harmonica Festival in Trossingen; Solo Tremolo (2005), Solo Chromatic Junior (2005) and Solo Chromatic with Test Piece (2009).

In 2006, he appeared with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Ken-iciro Kobayashi and the performance was broadcast by Japanese television. He is now active as a soloist with orchestras, choir ensembles and pianists in various part of Japan.
 
He majors in chemistry at the Graduate School of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
